the experience
I want to get to know YOU. I want to listen, to learn who you are, to hear your thoughts and ideas. I want to get to know you so that I can better capture your unique beauty and showcase your individuality. When we shoot, I want you to relax, laugh a lot, and be comfortable with yourself! Your shoot should be a fun rather than stressful experience and I will work with you to the best of my ability to make that happen.
WHO AM I?
Aloha! My name is Ruth. I was born in the Midwest USA in a multi-racial family and grew up adventuring and exploring. As a child, I enjoyed art and the creative process. I started falling in love with photography during college - I was on summer break and borrowed a DSLR to take on a week-long trip to Colorado. Seven days and a thousand photos or so later, I was in love. This is where it has led me!
Though I now reside in Hawai'i and call these beautiful islands home, I have spent much of my life traveling, exploring fascinating destinations and the people who call those places home. I love capturing the essence of the moment, the emotions that are evoked. I would be honored to help capture your memories!
